Gilbert "Gil" L. Westgate

Gilbert L Westgate 60, of Green Cove Springs passed away August 27,2024 

Gilbert was born to Gilbert & Eleanor Westgate on February 4,1964 in New Bedford, Massachusetts. 

Gilbert will always be remembered as a one of a kind man who loved his family deeply. He was such a great dad and grandpa (aka "dusty"). He was always so proud of his grandkids. His favorite thing to do was fish and drink cold beer. Everybody that knew him loved him deeply. He gained so much extended family during his life, and he always said blood wouldn’t make them closer. Gil was never dull or boring, he always knew how to put a smile on everyone around's face. He will be dearly missed, but he will never be forgotten. We love you daddy! 

Gilbert is proceeded in death by his mom Eleanor, his dad Gilbert, his sister Cathy, and his brother Jimmy. 

Gilbert is survived and will be truly missed by his brothers Eddie (Diane)Westgate, Scott (Tammy) Westgate, his sister Millie (Carlton)Fish. His daughters Christina (Josh)Campbell, Rebeka (Robby)Cummings, his sons Christopher (Tasha)Westgate, Zachary Westgate. His grandchildren Peighton, Aodhan, Shayla, Amelia, Gage, Ava. 

The family will be hosting a celebration of life on Sept 7,2024 @ 12: 30pm.The location will be at 4870 CR 209 South, Green Cove Spring, FL 32043.
