Gilbert Lee Long

Gilbert Lee Long, 63, passed away on Saturday July 13th, 2019 at his home in Fleming Island, Florida. He was born on January 18th, 1956, in Greenville, South Carolina, to Robert “Bob” Long and Marina Dalia. After graduating high school, Gilbert enrolled in the United States Navy and proudly served four years. After finishing his term in the Navy, Gilbert became a Civilian Worker at N.A.S Jacksonville and would go on to work there for over thirty years. “In his glory days, Gilbert loved sailing, and would often sail down to the Keys and the Bahamas”. Gilbert was also an avid football fan and his favorite teams were the Georgia Bulldogs and the Jacksonville Jaguars. Gilbert was preceded in death by his former spouse Rhonda Peabody and his mother Marina Dalia.
Gilbert is survived by his two children Skylar and Logan, and also through his Father Robert and his five siblings George, Anna, Vicki, Diana and Richard.
