Glenn Julian Mason

February 19, 1963 — August 25, 2020

GLENN JULIAN MASON, 57, Alpharetta, Georgia, passed away suddenly on August 25th, 2020 due to heart related issues. He was born in Sandersville, Georgia on February 19, 1963.  Glenn spent most of his life in Jacksonville, Florida and called it home.

Glenn’s passions early in life were football, baseball, and having fun with his friends.  He was a knowledgeable plumber and gifted with his hands.  He loved creating his form of art with tile or wood.  However, one passion lasted his entire lifetime… fishing.  It was always a place of refuge for him to be on the water with a rod in his hand and a fish on the hook.

Glenn is survived by his son, Garrett, his mother, Lou, his brothers Jim (Paige), Steven, and Kevin (Natalie), a multitude of nieces & nephews, Kathy D Leino (Garrett’s mother), and Julie Mason.  Glenn was devoted to serving his family and friends.  He spent the last several years of his life caring for his father, Grady, who had Parkinson’s disease, and watching out for his mother.  Glenn especially loved his son Garrett and was devoted to loving him with his whole heart.

We are thankful for his friends and family who prayed for him over the past 20 years as we watched him fight for life through battle after heart-related battle.  He was thankful for the “extra innings” that he was granted from God.

A “Celebration of Life” service will be held on Saturday, August 29th at 2PM at Broadus-Raines Chapel in Green Cove Springs, FL.

For Glenn’s friends and family in the Atlanta area, you are invited to join in a time to honor Glenn on Thursday, September 3rd from 6PM to 8PM.  The drop-in reception will be held at 270 Lantern Ridge Court, Alpharetta, GA.
