Glinda Weathers

Glinda Weathers, 76, of Green Cove Springs, Fl passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2024. Born to Dewey and Arlene Holton on July 1, 1947 in Jacksonville, Fl, She graduated from Englewood High School. She was married to Rick Weathers for 58 years. Glinda was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She worked most of her life as a childcare provider in Green Cove Springs.

Glinda had many hobbies such as horseback riding and cross stitch, but what she was most proud of was the time she spent as a dog handler. She owned her own kennel, Coddle Kennels. Glinda spent many hours on the dog show circuit showing her prized Pugs and she had several champions.

Glinda was preceded in death by her mother, father, and her sister Kathy. 

She is survived by her husband Rick, her son Rick Jr., her daughter-in-law Maruja, her two grandchildren Sierra & Rick III, her brother Dewey, her sister Lisa, and many nieces, nephews & cousins.

A memorial service will be held in the Broadus-Raines Chapel on Friday, February 9, 2024 at 10:00am with Pastor Rodney Kelley of West Jacksonville Baptist Church officiating.
