Grady Halcomb, 86, of Green Cove Springs, Florida, passed away on July 2, 2017. Mr. Halcomb was born on January 11, 1931 to the late Phillip D. and Ruby (Cole) Halcomb in Seville, Florida. He was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Pierson, FL along with his loving wife, Alice, to whom God Almighty initiated their beautiful union. Mr. Halcomb was a kind, loving, giving, considerate, compassionate and honorable man.Mr. Halcomb proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War where he was a medic, former POW and tremendous war hero. He retired from the United States Army and 65 years later received the Distinguished Service Cross.Mr. Halcomb is survived by his wife, Alice Stevens Halcomb; daughters, Jan Marie Ragan and Catherine E. Terrell-Beahm; 3 extended children, Michael Kennedy (Jean), Nancy Scheltes and Sharon Lyster; brother, Jerry Halcomb (Louise); sister, Linda Hunt and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.A memorial service with full military honors will be held at the Church of God of Prophecy in Pierson, FL on Sunday, August 6, 2017 at 11:45 am.
