Gregory Mel Hershkopf

Gregory Mel Hershkopf, 43, of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020.  He was born on September 4, 1977 in Queens, NY to parents, Melvin J Hershkopf and Sandra Lazides.  He graduated from Plainfield Senior High.  He was a veteran of the United States Navy.  He was an avid cook, certified Heavy Machine Operator and Certified Railcar Welder.  Mr. Hershkopf was of Catholic faith and attended St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Orange Park, FL.  He will be dearly missed by his loving family and friends.  He is preceded in death by his father Melvin J Hershkopf.  Survived by his loving wife of 14 ½ years Angela DiLeonardi Hershkopf, daughter Hope Elizabeth Hershkopf and son Jonathan Anicito.  Also survived by his mother Sandra Lazides and stepfather Rudy Lazides of Texas, siblings Melinda Lisa Tomaro, Melinda Hershkopf and Jacob Hershkopf all of New York.  He leaves behind multiple nieces and nephews and in laws.  Celebration of Life Memorial service will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers please make a donation to Shriners Hospital for Children, St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Wolfson’s Children’s Hospital or a charity of your choice.  Please remember to be kind to others and make good choices.
