Thomas Henry “Hank” Bruning age 80 of Starke, FL rode into the sunset the morning of October 22,2024. He was born November 27,1943, to the late Karl & Clara Bruning in Miami, FL
After graduating from High school Hank joined the US Air Force. In 1969 he joined the Clay County Sherrif department where he made the rank of Sergeant. In 1974 he served as a Clay County Commissioner for 8 years. Prior to retirement Hank was a business owner of Bruning Contruction Co. He was of Catholic & Baptist faith. He enjoyed horses, roping & hauling his beloved wife around the country riding horses. He also enjoyed working in the hay fields & raising cattle. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother Charles “Chuck” Bruning & his daughter Laura Densmore.
He is survived by his loving wife Jane Bruning of Starke, Fl. His two fur babies J-Cee & Hunter. His children Lisa (Troy) Stephens, Karl (Jackie) Bruning, Grant (Jennifer) Jones & Jennifer (Robert) Davis. His Grandchildren Wyatt Bruning, Ava Densmore, Colton Densmore, Adysen Stephens, Blake Wynn, Madelyn Jones, Kameron Jones, Konnor Jones & two loving nieces Karla Bruning & Kathleen Gantz.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm in the Broadus-Raines Chapel on Saturday October 26, 2024. A graveside service with Military Honors will follow at 12:30 pm at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Green Cove Springs, Fl.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to be made to a charity of choice in memory of Hank.
