Harriet E. Wean

Harriet E. Wean, 87, of Jacksonville, FL passed away on Friday, April 19, 2019 in Orange Park, FL. She was born September 30, 1931 in Bridgeport, PA to Joseph and Caroline Larkin, SR. She was a beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. She enjoyed family time, knitting handmade items for family and friends and watching “Dancing With The Stars”.

Harriet loved to watch dancing almost as much as she loved to dance herself. Although in the past several years she’s not been able to dance. We will miss her sassy and crazy jokes that always kept us laughing. She liked to have a nice glass of red wine sometimes too. She enjoyed collecting Lead Crystal Bells and other Lead crystal items. When she was younger, she could enjoy a good practical joke and prank. Both on the receiving end and giving end of them.

Harriet was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Caroline Larkin, SR; 2 brothers, Joseph Larkin, JR, and Horace Larkin and 1 sister, Emily Smith.

She is survived by her daughter, Kim Biddle (Jack); 2 sisters, Caroline Altieri, CA and Mary Elizabeth Collins, PA; 2 granddaughters, Michele Reaves (Troy) of Rincon, GA; Nicole Schenk (Keith) of Orange Park, FL; and 5 great- grandchildren, Kaley Dotson, Jonathan Schenk, Hunter Reaves, Riley Reaves, and Andrew Schenk.

There will be no viewing or funeral services, but she will have a small send off at a later time with family and close friends to spread her ashes.
