Iona Burroughs

Iona Burroughs, 92, of Middleburg, FL, passed away October 8, 2017.  She was born on March 19, 1925 in Doctors Inlet, FL to the late John Clifton and Rosa Lee (Cercy) Jeffers. Mrs. Burroughs was a lifelong resident of the area and a member of Doctors Inlet Church of God.  She enjoyed life and was a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  Mrs. Burroughs was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Burroughs. She is survived by her son, Arnold Burroughs (Shirley); daughter, Bernice McLendon (Gene); three brothers; one sister; two granddaughters; three grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10:30am on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at Doctors Inlet Church of God with Pastor Byron Griffis officiating.  Burial will follow in Peoria Cemetery.
