Jack Daniel “Danny” Cooper of Middleburg went home to be with his Lord on November 12, 2017. Danny was born on June 27, 1957 in Jacksonville, to parents Herbert C. Cooper, Jr. and Irma Jean Cooper. Danny grew up on Black Creek in Middleburg and returned there to raise his family. He loved being outdoors exploring the many waterways and woods in and around Clay County and throughout Florida. He was a Florida history buff and especially enjoyed learning about the Native American tribes who inhabited the state for many years. He was also well versed in the Civil War history of Clay County and Northeast Florida. Danny was preceded in death by his father, Herbert C. Cooper, Jr. He is survived by his loving and faithful wife of 34 years, Jeanette, his sons Jack Cooper (Oksana) of Kiev, Ukraine and Andrew Cooper of Middleburg, his mother Irma Jean Cooper of Middleburg, his brothers Clinton “Hank” Cooper (Pam) and Nathan Cooper, both of Middleburg, and his sister Cindi Coppola (John) of Jacksonville. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 18, 2017 in the South Middleburg Baptist Church, 4565 Alligator Blvd, Middleburg, FL 32068 with Pastor Delton Kilpatrick officiating.
