Jaime Rene Arce, 80, Middleburg, Florida, passed away on February 21, 2022. Born to Nestor Arce and Maxima Salvatierra on September 30, 1941 in La Paz, Bolivia. He was a history teacher, executive at an oil company and a power company in Bolivia. Immigrated to the United States in 1986, holding several jobs to earn a living. He was a devout and practicing Catholic, having founded the “Catolicos Activandose” Ministry with chapters in various countries including Bolivia, Ecuador, Argentina, Colombia and Canada. He had been married to Narda, Malena, and Mery. He enjoyed listening to music, watching soccer, and playing table games (Rummikub was his favorite). He will be remembered for his generous disposition, always looking to guide and help those in spiritual and emotional need. Always ready to work for the Church and tend to those in need. He was preceded in death by his younger siblings Gabby and Freddy. He is survived by his children Gemma, Jorge, Ximena, Angela, and Paola. His grandchildren David, Adriana, Juan Pablo, Santiago, Sofia, Viviana, Diego, Mateo, Joaquin, and Rafael. And his great grandchild Emmett
A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 AM (Eastern Time Zone) Monday, February 28, 2022 at San Sebastian Catholic Church in St. Augustine, Florida, with Fr. Heriberto Vergara officiating. The graveside service will follow at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Cemetery in St. Augustine, Florida.

Jaime René Arce, 80, Middleburg, Florida, falleció el 21 de febrero de 2022. Nacido a sus padres Néstor Arce y Máxima Salvatierra el 30 de septiembre de 1941 en La Paz, Bolivia. Fué profesor de historia, ejecutivo de una empresa petrolera y de una compañía eléctrica en Bolivia. Inmigró a los Estados Unidos en 1986 y tuvo varios trabajos para ganarse la vida. Era un católico devoto y practicante, habiendo fundado el Ministerio "Católicos Activándose" con capítulos en varios países, incluidos Bolivia, Ecuador, Argentina, Colombia y Canadá. Se llevará a cabo una misa fúneral el dia lunes 28 de febrero de 2022 a las 11:00 a. m. (hora del este) en la Iglesia Católica de San Sebastián en St. Augustine, Florida, celebrada por el padre Heriberto Vergara seguido del entierro en el cementerio católico Our Lady of Good Counsel en St. Augustine, Florida.
