Jake Lessard

Jake Lessard, 79, of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away May 15, 2017. He was born on February 6, 1938 in West Warwick, Rhode Island to the late Adrien Joseph and Yvonne (LaPLante) Lessard, Sr. Jake moved to the area in 1973 from Rhode Island and was a hardworking man. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, boating and traveling. He is preceded in death by his three sons, Joseph, Bernard and Adrien “Little Jake” Lessard.Jake is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Barbara (York) Lessard; step-daughters, Tara Johns (Jason), Ashton Leal (Victor) and Jamie Cruz (Jorge); sisters, Lorraine and Lucile and seven grandchildren.A graveside service with military honors at Jacksonville National Cemetery will be held at a later date.
