James “Curly” Hurd

James passed away March 29, 2018 in the Orange Park Medical Center at the age of 75.

He was born to James Hobert and Dorothy Mae Hurd on June 24, 1942 in Mount Hope, West Virginia.

James married Peggy Sue St. Clair on August 19, 1966. Later he married Sandra Leigh on August 20, 1982. Sandra preceded him in death on May 21, 2003. He had three sons, Robert, James and Anthony.

He worked as a salesman for several companies.

James became affiliated with the Loyal Order of Moose on November 1, 1984 when he joined Vinton, Virginia Lodge #1121.

He came to Moosehaven on April 25, 2017 where he resided for 1year.

No Services at Moosehaven. At a later date the family will have a Memorial Service in Virginia.

He is survived by his sons Robert William Hurd of Ben Mountain, VA, James Michael Hurd of Vinton, VA and Anthony Hobert Hurd of Richmond, VA. Sister, Nancy Hurd of Frederick, MD and brother Roger Hurd of Hyattsville, MD.
