James Douberley

Jim passed away July 28, 2019 in the Moosehaven Health Care Center at the age of 90. He was born to James and Mary Douberley on December 23, 1928 in Orlando, Florida.

Jim enlisted in the U.S. Marines in 1950, serving his country for four years before returning to Orlando in 1954. He married Myra Sligh on May 4, 1954 in Orlando, FL. They had two daughters, Wendy and Wanda. He was preceded in death by his daughter Wendy on June 27, 2019. Jim and Myra owned and operated Service Master of West Palm Beach, for many years before retiring in 1999.

Jim became affiliated with the Loyal Order of Moose on June 23, 1988 when he joined the Lake Worth Florida Lodge #994. He received his Fellowship degree on July 1, 1996 and received his Pilgrim Degree of Merit on May 29, 2004. He was a past Governor and a member of the 25 Club, sponsoring 53 members in the Loyal Order of Moose.

Jim came to Moosehaven with his wife Myra on December 19, 2016 where he resided for 2 years.

Memorial Services held Monday, August 13, 2019 at 1:30pm in the Moosehaven Chapel.

He is survived by his wife Myra, daughter Wanda Mench and granddaughter Heather Mench of West Palm Bch., FL, and granddaughter Jennifer Graf of Clarksville, TN and a great-granddaughter, Ava Irene.
