James M. Link was born on May 26, 1949 and passed away on August 2, 2021. He was born to John Link and Minnie Harris in Cullman, Alabama. James served in the US Army as a Unit Armorer, where he received a National Defense Service Medal and Vietnam Service Medal. He was a proud lifetime member of the NRA. His favorite pastime was collecting coins.
James will be remembered as a family man, a patriot and all-around hero.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nance Link; three daughters, Angela Link, Kimberly Wren and Cristina Freeman. James is survived by his son, Ted Link (Patricia); brothers and sisters, Johnny Link, Nancy Carrol and Betty Hadley; grandchildren, Erica Jolley (Brandon), Christopher Link, Matthew Harrell, Kelsey Malley (Robert), Ashlynn Freeman, Maryha Link, Chyenne Link, Savannah Wren and Cayden Freeman; great-grandchildren, Kayla Jolley, Kenzie Jolley and Kimberly Jolley.
A joint Celebration of Life for both James Link and Cristina Freeman will be held 11 am, Saturday, November 6, 2021 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Pastor Kelly Everling.
