James "Jim" Neil

Jim passed away May 20, 2023 in the Moosehaven Health Care Center at the age of 84. He was born to Frank and Elva Neil on September 27, 1938 in Chicago, Illinois. Jim served our country from 1956 to 1959 in the US Navy as a Quarter Master. He was a Life Member of VFW Legion Post 2204. A 4th Degree Member of Knights of Columbus Assembly 1691. He was a police officer for Chicago Transit Authority. He had two sons, Michael and James Neil, Jr.. Jim became affiliated with the Loyal Order of Moose on October 11, 2004 when he joined Rice Lake, WI Lodge #402. He sponsored 6 members in his lifetime. He came to Moosehaven on August 20, 2020. A private Service will be held at a later date. Jim is survived by sons, Michael Neil of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL and James Neil, Jr. of Shakepee, MN.
