A much-loved husband, father, pop pop, son, brother and friend, Jay Radford, 92 of Fleming Island, Florida, passed-away peacefully at his home on June 17, 2021 with his family present. He was born December 27, 1928 in Darby, Pennsylvania. Jay was a Korean War veteran having served in the US Marine Corp 1949-1954 and received an Honorable Discharge. Jay enjoyed a fulfilling 34 career in Sales at Michelin Tire Co and had the opportunity to move around the United States -- Pennsylvania, Florida, California, Illinois, New York, and South Carolina. Jay adored his family including the many pets who shared the home over the years most notably his West Highland White Terriers (Westies), Sheena, Brady, and Bonnie.
He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Shirley Radford; son Keith Radford and his wife Valentina; daughter Pamela Winslow and her husband John; daughter Linda Radford ; son John Radford and wife Ellen, granddaughters Tara Radford and Veronica Winslow and twin grandsons Daniel Winslow and James Winslow. He was preceded by his parents James and Helen Radford, sister Flora Lou Skylar, and daughter Marjorie Radford.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30am on Monday July 12, 2021 at the Jacksonville National Cemetery.
