James G Santo, 78, passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at his home in Middleburg, FL. He was born to Louis and Freida Santo on February 19, 1941 in Chicago, Illinois.
He graduated from Leyden High School, retired as a Chief after a 23-year career in the US Navy and was a widower of his wife, Carolyn Santo.
An avid member of Saint Luke’s Catholic Church and served 11 years in the Knights of Columbus, reaching the rank of Faithful Navigator.
James will be remembered as a loving Husband, Brother, Father, Grandfather, Uncle, friend and servant to many.
Survived by his daughter, Deena Santo-Hebert, son, James Santo Jr; Grandchildren Katie, RJ & Gabriel; brother Gerald and sister-in law Carol Santo, their 3 children Jerry Santo Jr, Cheryl Santo-Alesia and Debra Santo-Vitulli; grand-nieces & nephews Shelly, Angela, Jake, Max, Victoria, Jim, Nicholas, Angel, Michele and Nicole; as well as his caregiver of the past 8 years, Joyce DiPatri.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, April 15, 2019 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with a Rosary service beginning at 6:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am, Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at St. Luke Catholic Church with Rev. Edward Rooney as celebrant.
