James Arthur Smith, Jr.

James Arthur Smith, Jr. “Little Jimmy”, 60, of Jacksonville, FL came into this world on September 8, 1958.  He was promoted to his heavenly home on October 18, 2018. 

Jimmy was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Smith; his parents, James and Sandra Smith and his little brother, Kenneth Smith.  He is survived by his sisters, Brenda Cochran (Donald) and Sandra Al-Kaddah (Saddam); longtime girlfriend, Martha Babb; very best friend and sister, Julia Hadley; daughters, Misty Lowry, Melissa Smith Brazil and Jessica Dolley (Brad) and sons, Erik Smith and Justin Smith.  Jimmy also has “other children” that he loved as his own; grandchildren, Mark, Bridgette, Connor, Alyssa, Destyne, Tiffany, Jamel, Hayla, Brooklyn, Damian, Tristen, Shyla and Chloe; and lots of nieces and nephews.

Jimmy was a lover of motorcycles, horses and old western movies.  He was a veteran who proudly served and was Airborne in the Army.  He was known as a “Master Story Teller”.  Jimmy had a huge imagination and loved to live his fantasies out in stories.  He loved to travel, and he loved Arizona and always felt at home there.  He had a chihuahua named Madison that he adored and said many times that she saved his sanity after the loss of his wife, Maxi.  Jimmy loved to read, and you could always find him with a book by James Patterson in his hands.  He will be greatly missed by all.
