James D. West, Jr.

James D. West, Jr., 68, of Green Cove Springs, Florida passed away on May 26, 2022. He was born to Lillian Cercy and James West, Sr. on August 27, 1953 in Jacksonville, FL. He enjoyed riding his Harley and spending time with friends and family. He will be remembered as Superman to some and Hippy to others. He had an infectious smile and sense of humor. He loved to have a good time no matter where he was.

He is preceded in death by his mother Lillian Cercy; and two brothers, Edward West and William West.

He is survived by his longtime fiancé Sandra Knowles-Smith; daughter Angel Bollinger; son James D. West III; brothers Joseph West and John West; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends at 10:00am and funeral services will start at 11:00am on Saturday, June 11, 2022 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Rev. Tim Hall officiating.  Burial will follow in Peoria Cemetery.
