Jane Christensen Daigle

Beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother Jane Christensen Daigle, 86, of Green Cove Springs, Fla. died on January 9, 2024 in her home surrounded by family and dogs.

She was born Oct. 8, 1937 in St. Paul, Minn. to the late James and Helen Christensen.

She married the late John Daigle, Sr. and together they raised six children during 56 years of marriage. They met and married in Minnesota and lived for more than five decades in Green Cove Springs where they owned and operated two restaurants. They were longtime members of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Mrs. Daigle was preceded in death by one child: Brian Daigle, as well as her parents, husband, and brother Walter Christensen. She is survived by her brothers Roger and Martin Christensen, six children: David Daigle of Stone Mountain, Georgia; James Daigle of Green Cove Springs; Steve Daigle of Ocala, Florida; Janet Draisey of Green Cove Springs; John Daigle, Jr. of Jacksonville; and Renee Daigle Harrell of Jacksonville. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Her ashes will be interred with her husband at the Jacksonville National Cemetery. A Catholic mass and funeral will be held in her honor at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Fleming Island, FL at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 13, 2024.
