Janet Andrews Hancock

Janet Andrews Hancock, 78, passed away to be with our Heavenly Father on January 2, 2021.  She was the daughter of the late Janet G. Andrews and Ernest Payne Andrews, both of Covington, VA.  Janet worked at Ayers Restaurant, Famous Amos and Country Cabin in Jacksonville, FL before retiring many years ago. She was living with her sister, Bonnie Puckett Westbrook, and her family in Florida for the last 12 years.  Janet will be remembered as a truly kind and loving woman who was always smiling.  She drew people to her, and everyone loved her.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert K. Hancock from Wytheville, VA; three brothers, Lawrence N. Andrews, Ernest I. Andrews and William “Bill” E. Andrews; along with one sister, Arlene A. Shifflett. 

Janet is survived by her sisters, Mabel A. Mappus of LA, Bonnie Westbrook of FL and Billee Nicely (Clay) of VA; brothers, Leonard R. Andrews (Lucille) of VA and David K. Andrews (Brenda) of VA and niece, Holly G. Carrigg of FL.  She had many more nieces and nephews that she loved very much.  Brandon Westbrook, Brianna Keeter, Bret Keeter and Natalie Westbrook all of FL were also amongst her family.

She will be sadly missed by family and friends.  As we all loved her so much, we will see her again one day in Heaven.  Until that day, we rejoice that she is singing with the angels above.  But she will be sadly missed.  We will always love you “Aunt Jenny”.
