Janice Shields

Janice Shields, 85, of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away September 7, 2017.  She was born on February 6, 1932 in New Athens, Ohio to the late Guy Fletcher and Essie (Hite) Graham.  Mrs. Shields came to the area in 1991 from Miami, FL and was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Clay County Historical Society.  She was a proud wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great great-grandmother.  Mrs. Shields is preceded in death by her son, Thomas Shields and is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Edward Shields; sons, Douglas Shields and Mark Shields (Jackie); daughters, Jonell Stanford, Della Jones (Dennis) and Janice Gibson (Don); brother, Rodney Graham; sisters, Joy Mencer and Delores Thompson; 13 grandchildren and numerous great and great great-grandchildren.
