Jeanette C. Baird, 56 of Middleburg, Florida, passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2024, surrounded by friends and family. She was born and raised in Tampa, Florida where she resided until she met the love of her life, Randy Baird. Jeanette, a city girl at heart, was transformed by their love, into a country loving lady who loved working in her yard, cleaning her house, and watching scary movies or Law and Order.
Jeanette was an amazing woman. Pages could be written to talk about all of her wonderful qualities that made her so special to so many, but to best summarize who she was only takes two words, LOVE and Coca-Cola. To know Jeanette was to love her and to feel loved by her. If you were doing wrong, she showed you love. If you were feeling down, her smile lifted you up. If you needed help, she was there no matter what she was facing. Her love touched everyone. Jeanette’s whole being was full of life, and she spent that life dedicated to caring for her family. OH, and how Jeanette loved Coca-Cola! You didn’t bring a Pepsi around Jeanette. Only Coca-Cola for her! If you saw Jeanette, you were guaranteed to see two things, a smile and a Coca-Cola. That smile! It would warm your heart. It started on her lips, but it lit up her eyes. You couldn’t help but smile with her.
Jeanette was diagnosed with cancer early in 2023. She immediately made up her mind to fight and fight she did. She had raised Savannah as her own daughter since she was twenty days old and was determined to give her the best foundation for success possible, and so she bravely fought. She renewed her relationship with the Lord after her diagnosis, and from that time on she honored Him everywhere she went. She witnessed to others in her cancer treatment groups. She prayed with them, encouraged them, and never lost her faith. Although she wasn’t well enough to attend, she was considered a homebound member of Word of Truth Bible Ministries in Middleburg, Florida.
Jeanette is survived by her husband Randy Baird, sons, Richard Roberts, Randy Baird Jr., daughters, April Baird, Savannah Kelly, ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and one brother, Scotty Kelly. Jeanette will remain the love of Randy’s life for all time, and her love and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
