Jeff Pickett, 59, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away peacefully at home on January 22, 2025, after his brave 3-year battle with stage 4 kidney cancer.
Jeff is survived by his wife of 19 years; Cindy Baccash Pickett, of Jacksonville, FL, his daughter; Michelle Pickett (Timothy Light), his granddaughters; Alexis and Indi, and adopted daughter; Shenay Wiler, all of Valdosta, GA.
Jeff is preceded in death by his son; Ronnie George T. Pickett, parents; Marilyn and Don, and brother; Kelly Pickett. As well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who he loved and loved him.
Jeff was born on May 28, 1965, in Ft. Lauderdale, FL and the family moved to Adel, GA where Jeff graduated from Cook County High School.
Jeff met the love of his life, Cindy, in 2005 and moved to Jacksonville, FL to be with her and her special needs son, Ronnie, where they married in November of 2007.
Jeff lived the last 19 years of his life in a strong, spiritual faith in God with the knowledge of love never dies and our loved ones are always with us.
A date for his Celebration of Life, led by family friend Minister Jill Cook Richards, will be announced later.
In lieu of flowers, Jeff and Cindy request that donations be made to the Scott Ackerman Cancer Foundation of Jacksonville, FL. in Jeff’s name. Dr. Ackerman provides health care for his patients first and foremost. Cindy requests that when you think of Jeff, remember him as the loving, compassionate, strong warrior of Christ who was always loyal to his family and friends, and let that make you smile.
