Jerry Fallin

January 27, 1940 — July 29, 2020

Walter “Jerry” Gerald Fallin, 80, of Jacksonville, FL passed away on July 29, 2020. He was born to Walt & Grace Fallin on January 27, 1940, in Miami, FL. He graduated from Terry Parker High School in 1959. He served our country in the Navy for 4 years. Jerry worked at Millennium Specialty Chemicals Inc. for over 30 years.  His travel companion and life partner for the last 9 ½ years is Gail Sledge.

He was a member of First Baptist Church in Callahan and the Morocco Temple Shriners. He enjoyed traveling all around the world, spending time with family & fiends, making fleece blankets, fishing, string art, NASCAR, livestock and football.

Jerry lived life to the fullest and gave a lot of his time in helping others, through the many years as an active member of the Shriners.  Then later in life he went on a church mission to Alaska to help in the framing phase of building a home for a church minister. Jerry loved to travel.  Throughout his life he drove, flew and cruised all over the US, parts of Canada, South America, Europe, Australia, Asia, South Africa and Antarctica.

He is preceded in death by his 2nd wife, Claudia Hendricks Fallin; his best friend and soul mate for 32 years.

Survived by son Walter Fallin Jr. (Chip); daughter Cherie McClain; and 3 grandchildren: granddaughter Fallin McClain, granddaughter Ashton McClain and grandson Logan McClain.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 19, 2021 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Chaplain Samuel Bennett officiating.  Masonic Rites and military honors will be given at the service.
