Jo Ann Fissel

December 12, 1943 – November 9, 2024

Jo Ann passed away November 9, 2024, in the Moosehaven Skilled Care Unit at the age of 80.

She was born to Robert and Elizabeth Sise on December 12, 1943 in Springfield, OH. 

Jo Ann married Richard Fissel on May 27, 1965 he preceded her in death on November 10, 2008. They had three sons, Richard, Jonathan and Benjamin. Jonathan preceded her in death on March 1, 2001.

She worked as a Head Start teacher and Office Manager for a Century 21 Real Estate Office and retired in 2007.

Jo Ann became affiliated with the Loyal Order of Moose on November 8, 1992, when she joined Kenton, OH Chapter #863. She received her Academy of Friendship degree on January 28, 2001 and her College of Regent Degree on May 24, 2002. Jo Ann received her Star Recorder on June 20, 2008. She was a member of the 25 Club and sponsored 47 members in her lifetime. 

Memorial Services held at Moosehaven Friday, November 15, 2024 at 10:00am. Services conducted by Community Hospice Chaplain Tracy Tucker and Opportunity Chapter.

Jo Ann is survived by her sons, Richard Fissel of Waipakonetta, OH and Benjamin Fissel of Kenton, OH. Two grandchildren, Johnthan Fissel, Jr. of Cincinnati, OH, Morgan Fissel of Marysville, OH.
