Joel Clinton Hewett, Sr.

Joel Clinton Hewett, Sr. of Orange Park, FL passed away peacefully on August 22 after a long illness. 

Joel was born to Clinton and Bettie Hewett in Waycross, Georgia on December 5, 1953, but lived most of his life in Jacksonville and Orange Park, FL. 

Joel, like his father and brother, had a gift of working with wood and refinishing furniture.   He also worked for World Cars (now Southeast Toyota) and Centurian Auto Transport. 

Joel was preceded in death by his parents, Clinton B. Hewett and Bettie Jo Hewett and his sister, Marla B. Allen. 

He is survived by his children, Joel C. Hewett, Jr., Justin Lee Hewett (Stephanie) and John Patrick Hewett (Jennifer); 2 grandchildren, Jace and Sophie; 2 sisters, Fran Dedmon (Derry) and Bettilyn Lunetta (Paul) and 1 brother, Paul Hewett (Anita); many nieces and nephews.  

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations go to Community Hospice, 4114 Sunbeam Road, Bldg 400, Jacksonville, FL  32257.
