John Parks Coleman

John Parks Coleman, 89, of Jacksonville, FL was born May 5, 1932 in Farmer, TN, and passed away August 19, 2021 in Jacksonville, FL. He was in the United States Army from December 4, 1952, and was honorably discharged on November 26, 1954. He is preceded in death by his mother, father, wife, and all of his siblings. He is survived by 2 children, John and Gail; and 3 step children, April, Sharon and Kenny. He had 16 grandkids, 9 great grandchildren, and 3 great great-grandchildren. He was a retired delivery driver from Skinner’s Dairy where is worked for 30 plus years. He worked hard for his family to give everything they could need and want. He lived to make others happy and would give the shirt off his back for anyone in need.  He was a gentle soul, with a firm hand if needed. He loved playing Rummy with his son John. He enjoyed camping, old country music, and watching sports. 

A graveside service will be held at 9:00am on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at Jacksonville National Cemetery with Chaplain Brent Beaird officiating.
