John L. Crossman

John L. Crossman, 84, of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away July 14, 2018. He was born on May 29, 1934 in Winsted, Connecticut to the late Harold Lilley and Catherine (Case) Crossman. John came to the area in 1971 from Connecticut and was a parishioner at St. Luke’s Catholic Church. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and enjoyed fishing and golfing. John was a sports fanatic, avid Yankees fan, a big flirt, people person and all around great man. He enjoyed working in Mexico, where he met his wife, and loved vacationing to the Outer Banks of North Carolina. John was a beloved husband, father, grand and great-grandfather, brother and uncle. He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Bonnie Crossman Pierson.

John is survived by his wife of 20 years, Maria Crossman; sons, John, Jeff and James Crossman; sister, Sally Mangione; 4 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial mass will be held 10:30 am, Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at St. Luke’s Catholic Church and inurnment will follow at 2:30 pm at Jacksonville National Cemetery with military honors.
