John F Dyal

John F. Dyal, 82, of Green Cove Springs, Fl., entered into his rest, peacefully on October 10, 2021.  John, a long-term resident of Jacksonville, Florida, was born in Alma Georgia, May 19, 1939.  His parents were Earl Frances Dyal and Dorothy Mae Dyal.  He is survived by his children, Cheryl Whalen of Orlando, Florida, Sharon Phillips of Green Cove Springs, Florida, and Hans Schoen of Zusamaltheim, Germany.  In addition, he survived by 2 sisters, Vernell Johnson and Vermell Roughton.  Finally, he has 5 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and his siblings as follows.  Edmund, Delmas, Earl, Paul, and Betty Ruth.

He began his career in the U.S. Army.  After his service in the military, he was a life-time truck driver, driving millions of miles safely.  He is missed and loved by his family. 

A memorial service is planned for 11:00 am, Thursday, November 4, 2021, at Clay Hill Church of God of Prophecy, 5845 CR 218, Jacksonville, FL 32234. Lunch will follow the memorial service at the church. A committal service at Jacksonville National Cemetery will follow at 2:30 pm, Lane #2.
