John Wilson Griffith, Jr.

John passed away May 3, 2019 in the Orange Park Medical Center at the age of 86.

He was born to John and Vera Griffith on October 30, 1932 in High Point, North Carolina.  After high school, John joined the Air Force, serving his country from 1951 to 1955.

He married Barbara Collier on April 17, 1959.   They had two children; daughter, Shawn and son, Charles. Johnny worked for BI-LO Supermarkets as a purchasing agent.

He became affiliated with the Loyal Order of Moose on February 22, 1995 when he joined Myrtle Beach, South Carolina Lodge #1959.   He was a past Governor and a member of the 25 Club. He earned his Fellowship Degree on September 20, 2003. He was also a member of Swamp Fox Moose Legion #74.

Johnny came to Moosehaven on March 6, 2014 where he resided for over 5 years. 

A celebration of life service will be held in the Moosehaven Chapel on Sunday May 5, 2019 with Rev. Helen Taylor and Officers of Opportunity Lodge officiating.  

He is survived by his son, Charles Griffith of Santa Maria, CA.,   daughter Shawn Mullins of Charlotte, N.C., sisters Susan Beliczky of Stoneville, N. C., Jean Wall of Greensboro, N.C. and dear friend Pam Shook of Moosehaven.
