John Henry Hall, Jr.

John Henry Hall Jr, 62, of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away on January 26, 2022.

He had attended Booker T. Washington High School in Norfolk, VA where he grew up as a simple farmer on his family’s land. John loved servicing the community in Clay County, FL where he would drive his prized dune buggy for charity or deck it out with lights and dress like the Grinch to give gifts to local children.

John will be remembered as a man who made friends with everyone he met, you were never a stranger whenever around him. He was a hard-working Longshoreman known as “Pretty boy” with local #970 for 32 years until he retired in 2011 working with union brothers and sisters side by side for days on end not only with local # 970 but with local #1248 as well. It is safe to say the waterfront was his life. He had a great sense of humor and was known for his practical jokes. John was a wonderful father to his only daughter and grandfather to his four grandchildren.

John is preceded in death by his mother Gladys Hall, father John Hall Sr, sister Ruth Laramore, Sister Janice Faircloth, cousin Stevie Hall, cousin Cheryl Porter (Hall).

John is survived by his daughter Heather (Aryin) Hall, his Grandson TJ (Kitty) Cochran, his Granddaughters Gracie Cochran, Rebekah Cochran, Hannah Cochran, Girlfriend Paula Chalk and many other family and friends.
