John Paul McAleer, Jr.

John Paul McAleer, Jr., 88, passed away January 28, 2018 after a short illness at Deerwood Place ALF.  He was born April 9, 1929, in Savannah, GA.  He was predeceased by his wife of 63 years, Dolores Bridges McAleer.

He is survived by his sister, Joan East; sons, John Paul McAleer, III, Jeffrey Michael McAleer, & daughter Janet McAleer; 7 grandchildren, one of which is predeceased; 3 great granddaughters and a great grandson.

Jack or John Paul as he was known by his friends & family was truly a jack of all trades and a master of many.  Over his lifetime, he worked as an ordained minister, licensed insurance and financial advisor, pharmaceutical representative, tobacco salesman, paper plant worker, welder & life guard to name a few.

He was a devoted member of the Christian Faith Center.  The family would like to thank the manager and staff of Deerwood Place ALF for their loving care as well as Vitas Hospice for their love and support during his short illness.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1pm, Saturday, February 3rd at the Christian Faith Center, 4021 Everett Ave., Middleburg, FL.  In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Christian Faith Center.
