John William Moheng, Jr., passed from this earth on February 23, 2022, after being hospitalized with complications from the Covid-19 virus.
John was born on February 1, 1957 in Chicago, IL, was a life-long resident of Florida and of Middleburg for the last 37 years.
Affectionately known to his friends as “Craneman”, John was a hardworking and dedicated family man. John loved his job operating cranes, loved horses and would rather go fishing than eat. He was also a lover of nature, plants, flowers and trees.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Gloria (Davis) Moheng, three children, John William Moheng, III, Michael Paul Moheng (Candice), Ripley Seamus Moheng, 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. John was also survived by his mother, Juanita Snyder, a sister, Debbie Atkinson, and numerous extended family and friends in Florida and Missouri.
He was predeceased by his father, John William Moheng, Sr., his brothers David Moheng and Scott Moheng, and a son who died at birth.
John left us too soon, but we are comforted to know that he has “gone fishing” with our Lord and Savior.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, March 12, 2022 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Pastor Ken Webb officiating.
