Johnny "Mack" Kirkland

Johnny “Mack” Kirkland, 69, of Middleburg, Florida passed away March 31. Mack was born to Lemmie and Harvey Kirkland on May 3rd, 1949 in St. Augustine, FL. He graduated from Clay High School, Green Cove Springs. Mack was a Sergeant in the U.S. Army (1968-1971) and retired from the Fleet Readiness Center Southeast, serving the Department of Defense for 35 years.

Mack enjoyed spending his free time with his family, golfing, watching Gator football, and traveling with his wife of 33 years. He was loved and admired by many. He had a great sense of humor and his smile and laugh were infectious.

He is survived by his wife, Jean (Steeves) Kirkland; Son Justin (Kelly) Kirkland; Daughter Mackenzie (Jonathan) Stone; Grandsons Connor, Brently and Colton. He was predeceased by his brother, Danny Kirkland and father, Harvey Kirkland. He is also survived by his mother, Lemmie Daugherty; Sisters Andrea Christie and Rebecca Padgett; Brother Lem Kirkland.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, April 4, 2019 at First Baptist Church in Middleburg.
