William Earl Green

On March 08, 2018 William Earl Green of Gilmore, MD passed away at his home in Middleburg, FL. William Green was born to Katie (Green) House and William Bowers. He was born in Midland, MD on October 08, 1921. Mr. Green was in the United States Navy and was a WW2 veteran. He then worked at the Kelly Springfield Tire Company where he retired.  William Earl Green was married to Ilda Leona Coleman Green for 70 years. Mr. Green was a faithful member to the Liberty Christian Fellowship. Mr. Green loved watching baseball games and playing with his great-grandchildren. Mr. Green will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. William Green is preceded in death by his mother Katie (Green) House; father, William Bowers; sisters, Betty Turney, Beverly McRobie and Pauline Mahew.  

William Green is survived by his wife, Ilda Green of Middleburg, FL; his daughter, Deborah Green Smith and her husband Dewane of Middleburg, FL; William Green had four grandsons, Teddy Davis and his wife Glenda of Middleburg, FL, Austin (Chuck) Gardner and his wife Cynthia of Terra Alta, WV, Billy Gardner of Oakland, MD and Anthony Michaels and wife Keri of Gilmore, MD. William Green had 17 great-grandchildren which were the loves of his life. He is also survived by a brother, Donald House and wife Sandy of NC, and a sister, Wilma Miller in Barton, MD.

The family will receive friends at 2:00pm on Sunday, March 18, 2018 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel and funeral services will begin at 3:00pm with Dr. Ken Pledger officiating.  Flowers will be accepted at Broadus-Raines Funeral Home.
