Joseph Martin Victor Jr, 63, of Fleming Island, FL, passed away at his home on July 3, 2024, after a strong, 25-month fight with brain cancer. Joe was born in St. Augustine, FL on November 17, 1960. Preceded in death by his parents Joseph Martin Victor Sr and Wil Lou Graves-Morris.
Survived by his wife Richelle (Shelly) Victor of 15 years, two sisters, Laurie Barrancotto (Sam) of St. Augustine, FL and Kim Manucy (Bruce) of Ellaville, GA and three daughters, Elizabeth Victor (Emre) of Hingham, MA and Emily Victor of Jacksonville, FL and Erin Victor of Orange Park, FL and two step sons, Justin Popple of Tallahassee, FL and Hunter Popple of Fleming Island, FL and one very special granddaughter Harper Reed; along with nieces, nephews and extended family.
Joe was an amazing husband and partner to his wife, Shelly, wonderful brother, father and stepfather. Joe loved his family with a special place in his heart for Harper. Joe loved simple things in life. Some of his greatest joys were meeting, talking and being friendly to all people, listening to music, being outside enjoying every aspect of nature, a great glass of wine with his wife, his boxer puppy Lodi, cooking a true foodie at heart, writing poetry, playing the guitar and writing songs and always singing. Joe was an avid horseback rider most of his life, going to the gym and riding his bike. Watching Florida Gators and Jaguar Football games. Joe enjoyed working hard whether on home projects or construction projects he was doing. Joe had a successful 35-year career at Bank of America working in Banking Technology Management. His favorite role was being retired for the last 8 years.
Joe was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, 300 Gum Street, Green Cove Springs, FL. His celebration of life event will be held at this church at 11:00am on 17, August 2024. In lieu of flowers, please donate in Joe’s honor to First Presbyterian Church, Green Cove Springs.
