Joseph "Joe" Waldeck

Joseph (Joe) Waldeck, 77 of Middleburg, FL passed March 21st, 2023. He was born to the late Frank and Veronica Waldeck on April 14th, 1945, in Miami, FL. Joe graduated from Riverside Military Academy and then served for four years in the US Army National Guard.

In 1972, Joe began a long and fulfilling career as a deputy sheriff for the Clay County Sheriff’s Office until he retired in 2003. Joe was known best for his grumpy stubborn attitude, wicked left hook, love of animals and bees, and his willingness to help others.

He is survived by his three daughters and their husbands, Xandra and Wayne Faircloth of Middleburg, FL, Tina and Henry Williams of North Carolina, and Stephanie and Joshua Horne of Middleburg, FL. In his 77 years of life, Joe was blessed with twelve grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

A celebration of life service will be held at 3092 Thunder Rd. Middleburg FL 32068 on April 8th at 11AM. Following the service, the family will be receiving friends at the barn for a reception with food and drink.
