Joyce Lynn Williams Dumas of Orange Park, Fl passed away on May 22nd at the age of 83. Born to Harvey Griswold Williams and Merle Mae Clukey on November 20th, 1939 in Watertown, New York. She graduated from Sandy Creek Central School in Lacona, New York in 1958. She enlisted in the United States Navy and served 3 years. Then joined the United States Naval Reserve in 1983 and retired in 2000. She was also a civil service employee at Naval Aviation Depot in Jacksonville from 1976 to 1995. She was active in her VFW for 20+ years, active member in PWP, and was a member at the Meadowbrooke-Bellair Volunteer fire department as an Administrator. Joyce’s talents were many, she was a great pianist, volunteer, a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and even a great-great-grandmother. She enjoyed entertaining friends and family. Some of her favorite hobbies were singing, dancing, bowling, darts, golfing and of course we all know she loved her mustangs. She married Larry Edward Dumas in October 1961 and divorced in 1982. She is survived by 3 children, 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, 3 siblings, and multiple cousins, nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Jacksonville National Cemetery on June 5th at 11:30am at 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, Fl 32218.
