Judy O'Neill

Judith “Judy” Graves O’Neill passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at the age of 74 years old. 

Mrs. O’Neill was born and raised in Talladega, Alabama. She graduated from Talladega High School and was a proud graduate of the University of Alabama, Roll Tide! She was a retired Special Education Teacher for the Clay County School System and has resided in Clay County for the past 37 years. Mrs. O’Neill was an avid traveler, enjoyed cooking for and entertaining her friends and family, and dearly loved her Alabama Crimson Tide. She was also a member of the Magnolia Point Women’s Club. She will be remembered as a selfless, caring, and kind individual who always put others first in life, and in love. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. 

She is survived by her husband, Patrick J. O’Neill, sister, Deborah (Raymond) Pitts, children, Ellen Willis (Michael) McDonald, Kathleen Brewer Willis, Geoffrey Graves Willis, and Patrick V. (Megan) O’Neill, and grandchildren, Grace, Chloe, Amelia, and Patrick J. O’Neill and Brewer McDonald. 

Mrs. O’Neill is preceded in death by her father, Dr. Lauris D. Graves, and mother, Jacqueline D. Graves. 

The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Monday, October 16, 2023 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm, Tuesday, October 17, 2023, in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Pastor Mike Hailey officiating. Burial will follow at Russell Haven of Rest Cemetery.
