Kala’s hobbies included gardening, kayaking, concerts, and most of all, spending time with loved ones.
She will be remembered fondly for being able to grow any kind of plant, including, but not limited to delicious fruits and vegetables that she adored preparing for meals. Her love for outside and outdoor activities was contagious and made those around her long to jump in as she did. She was always known for surprising her husband with tickets to theme parks and concerts that they only dreamt of attending. They lived a very full life, with no regrets. Kala’s family was most important to her. She was always sure to make each member feel loved and was always good for a laugh. To God be the glory for all of the memories and pictures we can share to remember the full, but short life of Kala.
The funeral service will be held in the Broadus-Raines Chapel, Pastor John Hutton of Ortega Methodist Church will be officiating. Visitation will be held at 10:00am on June 24, 2023 and her funeral will follow at 11:00am.
In lieu of flowers, please send any donations to your favorite animal shelter and remember how animals were like children to Kala and she was always to treat them as such.
