Kathryn "Kathy" Ann McKale

November 11, 1954 — July 3, 2021

Kathryn "Kathy" Ann McKale held a special place in the hearts of many over the course of her life and will be forever remembered for both her sense of caring, her contagious smile and her silly sense of humor. Kathy passed away on July 3, 2021 at the age of 66.

She is survived by her Mother, Marilyn McKale (Denise), her Sister, Debbie McMahan (McKale), and her Brothers, Mark McKale (Debi), John McKale, Kevin McKale and Michael McKale (Caroline). Her loving Father, Richard ("Dick") McKale, passed away in 2006.  Kathy is also survived by her Aunt Barbara Schultz (McKale) (and Uncle Charlie), her Nephews and Nieces, Sean McKale, Jason McMahan, Corina Newton, Diana Dowdle, Scott McMahan, Erin Handley, Corey Robinson and Freddie Brush; many Great Nieces and Nephews; and most recently a Great Great Niece.

Kathy was born on November 11, 1954, to parents Marilyn and Richard "Dick" McKale in Piqua, Ohio.

Kathy graduated from Ross Business Institute with an Associates Degree in Bookkeeping/ Accounting in the late 1970's.  She also earned a CNA Certification and studied occupational therapy in the 1980's.  She often talked about wanting to work at Wolfson's Hospital to help children, and always wanted to help others.

Kathy worked at Montgomery Wards and Detroit Edison Gas Company.

Kathy loved crafts and drawing.  She loved calling the numbers for Bingo.

Kathy was very kind and thoughtful.  She loved the holidays, especially Christmas and Easter. She always remembered everyone's birthday, and often sent cards for many occasions, which was always important to her.  She often made an effort to send cards and gifts at the holidays.

Kathy was a breast cancer survivor.

She made everyone feel welcome, loved, and valued.  She had a special laugh and always made everyone around her laugh and feel good.  She will be missed greatly.
