Kathryn Padgett

Kathryn Padgett, 76, of Green Cove Springs, FL gained her Heavenly wings on February 19, 2022 at Baptist Hospital in Jacksonville, FL.  She was born to the late Horace and Mattie Lou McGuirt on October 11, 1945.

Kathryn was preceded in death by both of her parents; two brothers, Tommy and Melvin McGuirt: and sister, Bernice Padgett.  She leaves behind her husband of 50 years, James “J.R.” Padgett ; two sons, Jay and Jimmy Padgett; two granddaughters, Shaila Blackwelder (Levi) and Amanda Padgett; great-granddaughter, Oaklynn Blackwelder; brother, Elmer McGuirt and sister, Debbie Padgett.

Kathryn was a member of Faith Baptist Temple in Green Cove Springs, FL.  She spent her entire life serving the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  She loved spending time with her family and will be deeply missed by all.

As per her wishes, no services will be held, instead a memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at a later date.
