In Loving Memory of Kelly Shawn Gipson
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Kelly, a devoted family man, husband, father, poppy, brother, mentor, and friend to many as well as a skilled specialist of heavy machinery. Kelly Gipson departed from this world on February 6th, 2024, leaving a legacy of love, hard work, and a permanent mark on those who were fortunate enough to know him.
Born on January 9, 1957, he was raised with a strong sense of family values that would become the cornerstone of his life. His unwavering commitment to his loved ones was evident in every facet of his existence. Kelly cherished the moments spent with family, creating a nurturing and supportive environment that will be remembered fondly by all who shared in his love.
In addition to his proficiency in heavy machinery, Kelly had an innate ability to create, inspire, and uplift those around him. His kind, loving attitude, his strong work ethic, and willingness to lend a helping hand were qualities that defined him.
Kelly is proceeded in death by his parents, Eloise and Louis Gipson; and sister, Mary. He is survived by his wife, Kathy; children, Danielle, Sara, Michael (Sarah) and Kimberly (David); 11 grandchildren; brothers, Mark (Sharon) and William as well as many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held from 4:00pm to 8:00pm on Sunday, February 18th, 2024, at the Elks Lodge of Green Cove Springs where he was a dedicated and beloved member for many years. Friends and family are welcome to gather to pay their respects and share their memories of a life well-lived.
