Kelly Jean Layton (Bowden) (Terrell), age 46, of Middleburg, FL was called home, April 8, 2019 at Haven Hospice in Orange Park, FL while lovingly surrounded by her family. She was born in Jacksonville, FL on January 6, 1973 to Lela Marie Terrell (Porter) and Lynwood Terrell, whom later was adopted by her Aunt Linda Lee Bowden (Porter) and Uncle Ronald Jeffery Bowden.
Kelly soared as an Eagle at Paxon High School, being the first of her family to graduate in 1991. Her occupation as a Senior Advisor of Customer Relations with Florida Blue, earned her several awards, and was she so loved by many of her peers.
She relaxed in their early retirement home in Salt Springs, FL, blazed new trails of JEEP Life, with the wind and music blowing in her hair, with the love her life, of nearly 28 years. She adored her Grandson, Lucas and will always be known as “Nina”. She is preceded by her mothers, Lela and Linda; and patriarch grandfather, James Wilson Porter of Jacksonville, FL.
Kelly is survived by her husband, Kenneth Dewayne Layton of Middleburg; daughter, Savannah Nicole Beutel (Layton) spouse Jordan; grandson, Lucas Charles Beutel age 2; sister, Dianna Lynn Boase (Bowden) of Middleburg; niece, Amanda Lee Richardson of Jacksonville and Brittany Leann Boase of Chesapeake, VA; a loving and caring matriarch, Sharon Riley of Jacksonville, FL.; brother, Donald Layton spouse Betty; niece, Taylor; nephew, Donald James; brother, Kevin Layton spouse Melanie; niece, Tori; nephew, Matthew; along with many other family and friends.
A memorial service for Kelly will be held at 10:00am on Saturday April 13, 2019 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Dr. Tim McDaniel officiating.
