Kenneth McCoy Bentley, beloved father, grandfather and brother, passed away December 9, 2024. Kenneth, better known as “Buddy,” was born on November 14, 1940 in Murfreesboro, North Carolina.

Buddy faithfully served in the United States Army as part of the 101st Airborne, the “Screaming Eagles,” and was honorably discharged in 1961. He was a long-standing member of the Moose Lodge #455, where he made countless friendships and memories through the years. Buddy was a retired carpenter and a member of the Carpenters Local Union #702.

Buddy was preceded in death by his parents Clyde and Nola Bentley, his wife Patricia Bentley, and his son in law Kenny Klein. He is survived by his daughters Maria Hendrix (married to David Hendrix) and Sandy Klein, and his sister Jeane Galloway (married to Dave Galloway). He leaves behind three grandsons, Chase Hendrix, Drew Klein (married to Bekah Klein) and Sean Klein, as well as many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

Buddy’s legacy lives on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, and his love for his country and family.
