Larry Wayne Sharp, Sr.

Larry Wayne Sharp, Sr. passed away in Orange Park, Florida on May 9, 2019. Born to Emmet and Rosie Sharp on August 10, 1940 in Oak Hill, Ohio. Larry was a graduate of Electrical Engineering School in 1962 with the Navy. He was in the Navy from 1958 to 1965. Larry was a long-time resident of Green Cove Springs. He worked at Johns Mansville from 1966 to 1995. He was married to Ann Hall Sharp of Green Cove Springs for sixty years. Larry was a member of Sunrise Baptist Church and served the Lord by taking care of the church’s grounds. He loved working with nature, traveling, working in his garden with plants, and spending time with his family.

He will always be remembered as a loving dedicated father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and loved by everyone who knew him.

He is preceded in death by father, Emmet Sharp; mother, Rosie Sharp; brother, Donald Sharp; sisters, Wanda Roof and Patti McCane; and son, Larry Wayne Sharp, Jr.

He is survived by wife, Ann Sharp; son, Donald Allen Sharp, Sr.; daughters, Sherry Morvant and Robbin Fuller; grandchildren, Donald Allen Sharp, Jr., Dawn Marie Sharp, Mary Jo Downs, Kacie Morvant, Austin Wayne Fuller, Hannah Lyn Fuller; eight great-grandchildren; and his two sisters, Diana Thomas and Ada Allen.

We are forever grateful to all our friends and family for their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

The family will receive friends from 1:00pm – 2:00pm on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel.  Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm with Rev. Gene Janda officiating. Burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery.
