Larry Walter Tode

Larry Walter Tode, 66, of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away June 5, 2020. He was born to Melvin and Rose Tode on March 13, 1954 in Springfield IL. Larry was married to Connie Hensley-Tode and served in the United States Navy from 1973-1977 and retired from civil service at NAS. His church affiliation is Grace Missionary Baptist Church. Larry enjoyed tinkering and working on cars and caring for his animals before his life was tragically cut short by a drunk driver.

He was preceded in death by Chandler Mendez.

Larry is survived by, Connie Hensley-Tode (wife), Melissa Holman (daughter), Vince Holman (son-in-law) Preston Mishikaiwa (grandson), Kortnie Modlin (granddaughter), Malachi Modlin (grandson), Nylene Modlin (granddaughter), Myranda Modlin (granddaughter), Langston Modlin (granddaughter), Atlas Mishikaiwa (great-grandson) Jay Tode (brother), Cheryl Tode (sister-in-law), Jan Bixler (sister) and Dan Bixler (brother-in-law)  .

The family will receive friends from 1:00pm - 3:00pm on Sunday, June 14, 2020 at Grace Missionary Baptist Church with funeral services starting at 3:00pm with Pastor Rusty Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Penney Farms Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Preston Mishikaiwa, David Williams Jr, Troy Shedd, Shayne Rollen, Lamar Grimes, and Blane Clem.
