Laura Estelle Hoppe Osborne
Laura passed away August 20, 2020 in the Moosehaven Health Care Center at the age of 91.
She was born to Atticus and Hettie Belle Hoppe on October 20, 1928 in West New York, New Jersey.
Laura married John Nodzak and they had nine children. She married Bazel Osborne on September 10, 1978. He preceded her in death.
She was a bookkeeper and worked most recently for University of Cincinnati, IRS and CITI bank retiring in 2004.
Laura became affiliated with the Loyal Order of Moose on January 3, 1996 when she joined Covington, Kentucky Chapter #985. She received her Academy of Friendship degree on March 17, 2002 and her College of Regents on June 19, 2005. She was a Star Recorder on July 5, 2010. Laura sponsored 16 members in her life time.
She came to Moosehaven on August 13, 2018 where she has resided for 2 years.
The internment of her ashes will be placed in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North in Williamstown, Kentucky, date to be determined.
She is survived by her sons John Nodzak (spouse Patty) of Dayton, OH , Paul Nodzak of Covington, KY, Peter Nodzak (spouse Mary) of Charlotte, NC, Henry Nodzak of Hanceville, AL, and daughters Helen Nodzak of Florence, KY, Alice Simmons (spouse Paul) of Cartersville, GA, Rose Mary Cumberland (spouse Dennis) of Woodstock, GA, Laura Wallace (spouse Mark) of Shady Dale, GA and Arlene Truitt (spouse Chuck) of Ft. Mitchell, KY. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren as well as Kevin Cumberland, a grandson who predeceased her. She is also survived by her brother Albert (Butch) Hoppe, niece Vanessa Knott Thompson and other nieces and nephews.
